Fortis Green
Background:
The site at Fortis Green was a 2 storey 1960’s style building with hardstanding frontage for parking. The development was to include the demolition of the existing building and construct on the site of the car park a new multi-storey building with commercial space at ground floor, along with new parking to the rear.
Multi-storey redevelopment:
Quorum provided structural design and construction support for the new build mixed-use (commercial – pharmacy at ground floor / residential above) development on a derelict site on high-end area of Fortis Green. The building was formed from a reinforced concrete basement shell, with reinforced concrete frame structure to ground floor level, with steel framed construction superstructure. Quorum provided design of all primary structural elements including the design for the basement shell.
During construction, Quorum attended site in order to ensure construction elements were carried out in accordance with the designs along with contractor support.
